What are the eligibility requirements for Chapter 13?
In order to file for Chapter 13, you have to be an individual (i.e., you cannot be a corporation or partnership).
Your unsecured debts (e.g., credit cards, medical bills) must also be less than $360,475 and your secured debts (e.g., mortgages, vehicles) must be less than $1,081,400. See 11 U.S.C. § 109(e). These amounts are adjusted periodically to reflect changes in the consumer price index.
